WYSIWYD Kick-off meeting. 3/02/2014 Barcelona. Spain

We are pleased to announce the Kick-off meeting of the project  What You Say Is What You Did  [WYSIWYD], funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission, Robotics Unit of DG CONNECT [Ref. FP7-ICT- 611971]

The project started on January 1st 2014 and will last 36 months.

The meeting, hosted at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the coordinating institution, is taken by the consortium members as a great oportunity to discuss the project and coordinate future collaborative efforts. WYSIWYD will contribute to a qualitative change in human-robot interaction (HRI) and cooperation, unlocking new capabilities and application areas together with enhanced safety, robustness and monitoring. It is only through this step that humans will be able to trust robots: when they say what they do and do what they say.

The project is coordinated by Paul Verschure, and his group SPECS, of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and is a collaboration with Tony Prescott of the University of Sheffield, Peter Ford Dominey of the Institute National de la Sante et de la Recherche Medicale (INSERM), Giorgio Metta of the Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Peter Gardenfors of Lunds University and Yiannis Demiris of Imperial College.
